Valuation of items
You are welcome to bring your items for valuation to the Saleroom during office hours (it is preferable to telephone first), or we are happy to visit you in your home if the items are too large or it is not convenient for you to come to us. Either the vendor or the auctioneer may place a RESERVE on any lot considered to be reasonable, and only on lots of some potential value, and agreed by the auctioneer. This represents the minimum price below which the lot will not be sold. This is a free service
Charges for selling
All vendors pay 15% commision (plus vat at the current rate) of the hammer price. There is a 2% loss and damage warranty charge on all items in our possession unless otherwise instructed. There is a collection fee (where appropriate). Fees depend on individual consignments. There is a photographic fee of £1.00 per lot illustrated on the Internet (whether they sell or not), and if included in the catalogue are charged at a rate to be agreed
